A dropdown menu will open with all of the search options for that category. Put a tick next to required criteria. A list of the search terms you\u2019ve used will also be displayed. You can remove any or all of the search criteria by clicking the circled \u00abX\u00bb next to each search field. This will enable you to delete a field without having to go back and open the search Category.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have entered all of the criteria you wish to select by, click the Find bar at the top of the page. There are 6 columns of data: \u00abSponsor\u00bb, \u00abCity\u00bb, \u00abPlan Type\u00bb, \u00abAssets\u00bb, \u00abParticipants\u00bb and \u00abPlan #\u00bb. You can sort your list of plans using any of these categories. Simply click on the column header. Clicking once will put records in ascending order. Clicking twice will put them in descending order.<\/p>\n<p>You will also notice that on the far right a column will appear with an icon for any record you\u2019ve previously flagged for follow up. Mouse-over the icon to see a summary of your notes on that contact.<\/p>\n<p>After clicking on the search bar and generating your list, the first 25 records produced by your search will be displayed. You can easily page through to the next 25 by clicking on the page numbers at the top of the list.<\/p>\n<p>On the left-hand side of this page you\u2019ll see three bars; the first is for printing your results, the next is for exporting your results and last one is to return to the main search page. Clicking on this bar will give you a drop down menu of export options. First choose a list format or a detail format. List formats are: \u00abList of Plan Sponsors\u00bb and \u00abLabels\u00bb. The list of sponsors will include just the 6 columns you see on your list (\u00abSponsor\u00bb, \u00abCity\u00bb, \u00abPlan Type\u00bb, \u00abParticipants\u00bb, \u00abAssets\u00bb and \u00abPlan #\u00bb). The labels option will give you just the fields you need to print mailing labels (name, company and full address) in PDF format.<\/p>\n<p>Detail formats will give you more fields of information on the plan. Your choices are, \u00abPlan Summary\u00bb, \u00abFinancial Information\u00bb,<\/p>\n<p>\u00abInsurance &amp; Brokers Information\u00bb, \u00abInsurance Information<\/p>\n<p>Only\u00bb, \u00abActuarial Information\u00bb, \u00abService Provider\/Trustee Information\u00bb, \u00abInvestment Information\u00bb, and \u00abCustom\u00bb. Note that the information in these export settings corresponds with the information you\u2019ll see on the plan detail reports (when you click on a plan on your list). Have a look at what fields are on each report and see which one you might like.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/4-min.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-3\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8520 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/4-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"254\" height=\"530\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/4-min.jpg 296w, https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/4-min-144x300.jpg 144w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 254px) 100vw, 254px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have very specific needs, you can always create and save custom export settings by clicking on \u00abCustom\u00bb. This will allow you to \u00abcherry pick\u00bb from a list of all available fields.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, select one of the options from the \u00abRecords\u00bb field: \u00abAll (max of 1200)\u00bb or<\/p>\n<p>\u00abRange (max of 1200)\u00bb. Once you\u2019re finished, simply click on the \u00abExport\u00bb bar and click on \u00abOpen\u00bb in the dialogue box when prompted. Your data will be displayed in an Excel spreadsheet (PDF for labels).<a id=\"STEP4\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\n<h2><strong>STEP 4 &#8211; View plan information<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>After clicking on a specific plan on your list, you\u2019ll be taken to the reports page with detailed information on that plan. To view any of the detailed reports on any plan in your list, just click on the \u00abSponsor\u00bb name. This will take you to the \u00abPlan Summary\u00bb page with all of the reports\/options listed below.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/5-min-1.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-4\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8521 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/5-min-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"618\" height=\"329\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/5-min-1.png 694w, https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/5-min-1-300x160.png 300w, https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/5-min-1-500x266.png 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 618px) 100vw, 618px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the left-hand side of your page you\u2019ll see 12 blue bars:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Executive: If there\u2019s this section in the plan, it will give you contact information for the executives in this plan.<\/li>\n<li>Summary: This is the report you start with. It has basic information on the plan such as company name, address, contact name, phone, assets, participants\u2026etc.<\/li>\n<li>Financial: This report shows basic balance sheet information on the plan. You\u2019ll see assets, liabilities, fees\u2026etc.<\/li>\n<li>Insurance: If there are insurance products in the plan, you\u2019ll find more information here. This includes plans with a group annuity. Here you\u2019ll find, insurance carrier, insurance agent\u2026etc.<\/li>\n<li>Service Provider: This report tells you more about non-insurance service providers. You\u2019ll see information on investment providers, attorneys, CPAs\u2026etc.<\/li>\n<li>Investment: On this report you\u2019ll see detailed information on plan investments (when available).<\/li>\n<li>Plan History: This report will tell you more about the history of the plan (when available), including assets, service providers and contributions.<\/li>\n<li>Benchmarks: This bar gives you access to charts and graphs showing how a plan compares several factors to other plans in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>its industry, local area, asset range and across the country.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Audit Reports: This bar gives you access to CPA audit data (if available).<\/li>\n<li>Plan Risk Profile: Generates a fiduciary risk report for the plan you\u2019re looking at.<\/li>\n<li>Sales Proposal: Create and save custom sales proposal templates.<\/li>\n<li>Real-Time Update: Access Form 5500 filings just released by the Department of Labor before they are available in electronic format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Below the column of blue bars, you will also find an index of Form 5500 filings with up to ten years of filings.<\/p>\n<p>Right above where reports are displayed, you\u2019ll see that you have the option to skip to the next or previous plan on the list, go to a specific record (by number) or return to the results list.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a \u00abUser Notes\u00bb bar in the top left-hand corner.<a id=\"STEP5\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>STEP 5 &#8211; Create a Customized Sales Proposal:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Planisphere comes with a detailed Sales Proposal template prepopulated with plan information that you can customize and save any way you like.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To create, edit or view sales proposals, click on the Sales Proposals bar on the left-hand side of your page. Four options will be available to you. The first is a dropdown menu of your previously saved proposals. The next allows you to create a new sales proposal template. The third option allows you to edit and delete saved proposals and the fourth option takes you to a help page.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/6-min.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-5\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8522 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/6-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"496\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/6-min.jpg 694w, https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/6-min-300x271.jpg 300w, https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/6-min-500x451.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You can create a new custom proposal template in 4 easy steps. As you will see, many of the fields are pre-populated with plan data and generic compliance-friendly language that should suffice for nearly any situation.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>To build your proposal, review and\/or modify any of the fields on the right-hand side of your page.<\/li>\n<li>If you\u2019d like to exclude a particular field, simply uncheck the box next to it.<\/li>\n<li>Name your proposal and save it for print and\/or future use.<\/li>\n<li>After saving, you\u2019ll return to the report page. To view and\/or print your saved template, click on the blue \u00absales proposal\u00bb bar and select from the drop-down list of saved templates. Once you\u2019ve saved a proposal, you can re-use it for any plan at any time by selecting it from the drop-down list under \u00absales proposal\u00bb on the report page. You can also edit or delete proposal templates by clicking \u00abedit proposal templates\u00bb.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Printing:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>On the list page you will see a blue bar on the left-hand side that reads, \u00abPrint Reports\u00bb. Click on the bar to see listed the various report formats available for printing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Results List: The six columns you see on the list page.<\/li>\n<li>Contacts List: A list that includes basic information on each plan such as Company, Contact Name, Address, Plan Participants and Assets.<\/li>\n<li>Plan Summary: A more detailed basic summary of plan information.<\/li>\n<li>Financial Information: Balance sheet information on the plan(s).<\/li>\n<li>Current Insurers and Brokers: Insurance carriers and agents associated with the plan(s). (If available)<\/li>\n<li>Current Providers: A list of current service providers for the plan(s).<\/li>\n<li>Current Sponsors and Investments: Investments in the plan(s) (when available).<\/li>\n<li>Assets and Contributions: Balance sheet data on plan assets and contributions.<\/li>\n<li>Service Providers: A listing of plan service providers.<\/li>\n<li>Insurers and Brokers: A listing of insurance carriers and agents associated with the plan.<\/li>\n<li>Investment Sponsors: Companies providing investment management services to the plan(s)<\/li>\n<li>Plan Compared to Similar DC Plans: Graphs comparing the plan(s) to comparable DC plans.<\/li>\n<li>Plan compared to Similar DC Plans with the Same Business Code: Graphs comparing the plan(s) in various criteria to others in its business code.<\/li>\n<li>Audit Filing: CPA Audit Filings (when available).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To print any of these reports for either one plan or several plans, select either \u00abAll\u00bb (Max = 1,200) or a range (Max = 1,200).<\/p>\n<p>You will also note that you can print reports or ranges of reports at the plan report level as well. At the top of the report, you\u2019ll see a print bar. To print any report, simply go to that report and click on the print bar. <a id=\"STEP6\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>STEP 6 &#8211; Enter notes:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>When you\u2019re looking at a particular plan, you\u2019ll see a blue bar above the report bars. Click on it and you\u2019ll see where you can flag a prospect as \u00abhot\u00bb \u00abwarm\u00bb or \u00abcold\u00bb, enter new contact information, notes\u2026etc. You can also set an email reminder to follow up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7-min.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-6\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8523 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7-min.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7-min.jpg 258w, https:\/\/rixtrema.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/7-min-168x300.jpg 168w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong><a id=\"STEP7\"><\/a>STEP 7 &#8211; Return to the Search Screen<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The blue bars to the left of the search fields will help you prospect even more effectively. They are ordered as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Current Searches:<\/strong> These are searches you\u2019ve executed in your current session (since you logged in this time). If you just ran a search, but forgot what it was, you can always go back here and find it. Select \u00abmake current\u00bb to make a selected search the current search.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saved Searches:<\/strong> You can easily save and name any of your \u00abCurrent Searches\u00bb and they will become \u00abSaved Searches\u00bb for use in future sessions. Simply click on the Current Searches bar then click the bar to name a search you previously performed. You have 3 options available with regard to previously named searches 1) you can make that search your current search; 2) rename the search; or 3) delete that search. Note that each search lists the criteria you used in creating that search. In the dropdown menu, add a name and click \u00absave\u00bb.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Follow Ups: <\/strong>With Planisphere you can now mark specific plans for follow up and enter private notes on your conversations with plan sponsors. You can access this information from anywhere. When you click on the \u00abFollow Ups\u00bb bar, you\u2019ll see your personal prospects broken up into 5 categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>All Active:<\/strong> If a lead is labeled \u00abactive\u00bb it\u2019s one that you believe still might result in a sale. You can mark a record as \u00abactive\u00bb or \u00abinactive\u00bb when you\u2019re looking at the plan detail report.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All Inactive:<\/strong> These are plans you\u2019ve previously pursued but decided to mark as inactive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hot Follow-ups: <\/strong>These are the prospects that you believe to be most promising.
